In the sleepy fishing village of Thong Krut, on the Southernmost tip of Koh Samui, The Beach Samui development has leapt forward greatly in the last quarter of 2015 with many Fractional Owners experiencing this stunning resort during soft opening and the feedback has been outstanding. Owners from all four corners of the world have been welcomed by our 20-strong Beach Samui team as they enjoy the beauty of the resort and the quiet and calm of Thong Krut Village.
Most of the hand-crafted in-room furnishings and fittings are complete and await final handover of each suite from our contractor following a joint snagging operation by our development team, designers, consultants and operational staff. This process is taking some time whilst we work around Owners now enjoying the resort and helping us refine our offering to deliver the finest quality that has always remained our ultimate goal.
The marble back bar has been installed after being meticulously planned and designed to our Botanical Bar requirements, and now sits as a majestic feature within our lobby, enhanced by three stunning glass chandeliers and set against the fantastic views across the water out to Koh Taen & Koh Matsum, with the backdrop of the mainland clearly visible some 40-plus km away.
Our Fractional Owners invited to take part in the Resort’s extended Soft Opening have offered outstanding feedback; not only for the exceptional design, comfort and attention to detail, but also for the limitless bounds to our service, despite the ongoing works restricting us from fully opening just yet. Comments such as “the best time we have had in our lives” and “a dream come true” are becoming commonplace.
Television systems are now complete and guests can choose from 32 channels in English, French, German,Italian, Russian, Chinese, Korean and Thai, with a good choice of movie, news, lifestyle, sports, documentary and kids’ channels, besides having the wealth of YouTube and the rest of the Internet available on our brand new smart TVs.
Work to the beach and the bay in front of the resort itself has been earmarked for the New Year, pending ongoing, but final, negotiations with the government Harbour Department regarding the environmentally-friendly removal of the spits of coral where our pontoon will eventually float at the water’s edge. This work is planned together with the landscaping, which will see the both faces of the building, from the street and from the beach, transform into an abundant landscape lining Thong Krut’s beautiful coastline.
The first half of 2016 will see us completing all snagging and commencing work on the Spa,Restaurant and beach before we proudly, and finally, open our doors as Koh Samui’s hotly tipped new Boutique Hotel.
